Quality Components and Design
Drivers
At the heart of our MC Theater Series are proprietary aluminum drivers. The aluminum cone used in these drivers combines stiffness, low mass and self dampening properties in a manner that allows virtually uncolored presentation of the audio signal.
Crossovers
Only quality components are used to create the MC Series' crossover systems. Steep crossover slopes also increase power handling capacity and minimize driver distortion. The result is purity of sound.
Cabinets
The enclosures are constructed of MDF to minimize unwanted resonance and prevent excess sonic radiation. This method of construction allows the speaker to handle high stress and power levels without distortion. The speakers literally disappear leaving only a deep, wide soundstage with pinpoint imaging.
Finishes
RBH uses only the finest quality hardwood veneer finish for the MC Series. The veneer is stained, then coated with multiple coats of lacquer to ensure a furniture quality finish. Each cabinet is available in your choice of finish color: black, cherry or white semi-gloss.

The main design parameter of the Signature Series loudspeakers was to create a series of extremely high quality speakers that will perform equally well for the audio purist and the serious home theater enthusiast.
Each Signature Series loudspeaker by RBH is designed and built with a specific purpose in mind - to be a very accurate, high performing speaker with exceptional power-handling characteristics. To accomplish these performance levels, RBH has built the Signature Series using the highest quality parts and incorporating many state-of-the-art features in the designs. For example, the voice coil winding lengths for the 10 & 12-inch woofers have been increased almost 40 percent over standard to allow for the long excursions which occur during the reproduction of low bass.
The aluminum cones used for the mid-range and bass drivers, teamed with an ultra-stiff die cast basket, give the Signature Series a mid-range clarity unsurpassed by other ordinary speakers. To successfully decrease distortion, the voice coil formers are manufactured with Kapton®, an aerospace material capable of handling high temperatures, yet invisible to electromagnetic interference. The result is less distortion at high power levels and smooth transient response. The tweeter is cooled and damped by a magnetic liquid injected in the voice coil gap. This results in total accuracy and smoothness. The use of a fabric dome improves the speaker's high frequencies, creating an incredible image.
The choice of finishes vary from a Nevamar with an abrasion resistant finish to 30 high quality natural hardwood veneers.
In the design and manufacture of the crossovers, RBH utilizes top-of-the-line capacitors and inductors. Sophisticated crossover designs ensure extremely low distortion and correct phasing of all drivers.

The result of twenty-five years of fine loudspeaker creation, the Limited Edition Signature Series offers the luxury of the RBH Signature Series with the extreme performance of Status Acoustics components.
Each Signature Series loudspeaker by RBH is designed and built with a specific purpose in mind - to be a very musically accurate, high performance speaker with exceptional power-handling characteristics.
What makes the Limited Edition Signature Series so special, is the combination of Signature Series cabinetry, which is available in 30 different wood veneers, and the Status Acoustics components upgrade:
The Tweeter: The tweeter has been upgraded to a very high performance tweeter from Denmark. This tweeter has a larger motor structure, increased power handling and improved resolution.
The Crossover: Crossover components have been upgraded to provide increased audio quality and power handling. Larger air core inductors are connected to higher quality polypropylene capacitors, via a point-to-point source solder technique.
The Woofers: The aluminum cone woofers, that give the Signature Series its great bass to upper-midrange performance, get replaced with an even more advanced aluminum cone woofer featuring a fixed-position phase plug. The addition of this phase plug extends the frequencies these drivers are capable of reproducing, resulting in increased sonic clarity.
The Terminal Plate: The quality standard terminal cup is replaced with a Solid Aluminum Terminal Plate with some of the best 5-way binding posts available.

Curved, low resonance multiple-braced MDF cabinets, Bi-directional UVstabilised KEVLAR drivers, ultra high-gauss neodymium magnets, isolated alloy tweeter pod, heavy-duty gold plated and screened bi-wire terminals, most manufacturers would be charging $3000 upwards even for the smaller models, whereas our prices range from just $400 to $1000 for the large Pacific EVO-40.
The elegant curved cabinets are finished in a choice of real wood veneers. You can have black, maple, or rosewood, with a piano gloss black model (there may be a small premium for piano gloss finishes) to follow shortly.
